2011 Book Day August 21st
The People’s Market is very proud to host our 3rd annual Book Day on Sunday, August 21, celebrating reading, writing and the literary arts.
This is a chance for the public to meet local writers and book-crafters and to stock their bookshelves with Utah-made reading material. As always, our community Book Swap will be happening all day, so bring your used books to trade for an unexpected new find.
There will be a special author’s tent area featuring Utah writers signing and selling their works. The University of Utah Press, local neighborhood branches of the Salt Lake City Public Library and the Salt Lake Community College Writing Center will all have information about writing, reading and other programs.
Thirteen local authors will read from their work between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the market. The author’s line-up includes:
10:10-10:30—authors from Salt Lake Community College Writing Program
